Yin Yoga is a slower style of yoga in which shapes are gently held for several minutes to work with the connective tissue layers of your body. Yin Yoga draws from Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), a centuries-old healing framework that views the body as an interconnected system of relationships that is influenced by the seasons and the world around us. When applied to a yoga practice, TCM allows us to balance the energy of the season and feel more at ease in our body and mind.
This special extended practice applies concepts from TCM to Yin Yoga practice, and includes Yin Yoga shapes, accessible breath practices, and reflections on how Chinese medicine views the Lungs and their connection to the season of Autumn.
